She loves the big numbers and finds the phone easy to use. She had a tendency to hit the wrong button until we used red nail polish to distinguish the two. We bought this telephone for our mother who has Macular Degeneration. The only probem she has had is the "record" button is next to the "playback" button for the answering machine.
Talk about frustrating. Plus, the answering machine cuts off phone messages after ten seconds. The buttons are huge, but if you press them anywhere but in the exact center they don't work. Also, the other reviewer was dead-on: sound quality is terrible.
You have to go to where the phone is located to hear the messages. Look elsewhere for a phone and anwsering system. You can't call in and get your messages. I expect that most would be returned.
It has large buttons, which is a good thing, however, they are more difficult to push down than other phones. As claimed, you can dial up the volume, but it is not clearer as advertised. This phone has a high price for what is really a very cheaply built product. Messages were often garbled to the point of not being understandable. The phone, as designed, has serious deficiencies. Think in terms of a very cheap speaker turned up to high volume. A glaring design flaw is that there is no way to pick up your calls from a remote location. This falls into the realm of, "what were they thinking,' when they designed the answering system.
Amazon is to be commended for not having this product available (as of this writing). I used one of these for about 2 years before a lightning strike finally gave it a death blow. The louder it is the more difficult it is to understand.The answering macine barely worked when it was new. What if you're 500 miles away and want to call in for your messages.
